When What
Sept 1936 The UST Student Senate approved to organize the ROTC in the University.
1937 The Rector Magnificus organized the Honorary Corps of Lady Sponsors.
Sept 1938 Foundation of The Cross and Sabers Fraternity
1946 - 1952(?) The Corps had a field artillery unit.
1951 All of Manila's ROTC units presented a colorful three-day exhibition and competition. That was the first time for the UST Corps of Cadets to compete.
1952 Pres. Ramon Magsaysay visited the University during the National Heroes Day and the Corps had the distinct honor of rendering the "Arrival Honors" ceremony to the highest government official on the land.
SY 1951 - 1952 The Honorary Corps of Lady Sponsors was banned and abolished.
SY 1953 - 1954 The Corps adapted the Buckingham palace-style gala uniform for the cadet officers, the model battalion, and the ROTC band.
SY 1953 - 1954 After a ban of two years on cadet sponsors, the Corps succeeded in re-instating the tradition, thus under the guidance of the Dean of Women, Ms. Josefa Estrada, Class 1954 had its presentation of sponsors.
SY 1953 - 1954 The Corps Commander enjoyed full scholarship for the first time.
1954 The outgoing Corps Commander, Luzmindo Fajardo, was awarded the Rector's Saber of Leadership at the end of his term.
SY 1958 - 1959 Pres. Ramon Garcia visited the University during the National Catholic Educational Convention also known as CEAP and the Corps rendered the Arrival Honors.
SY 1966 - 1967 Pres. Ferdinand Marcos visited the University and the Corps rendered the Arrival Honors. The Escort Commander was C/Col Franz Boncodin.
SY 1967 - 1968 After another ban on cadet sponsors, the Corps succeeded in re-instating the tradition.
